There are lots of wonderful card games and board games being produced each year, and we want to add to this collection!  What kinds of games do we hope to design and sell?  A mix of family games, strategy games, adventure games, and perhaps even some educational games.

Our first game will be Countdown To Blastoff.  We are planning to launch a Kickstarter campaign for the game in September of 2026.

Otto-Matic Games LLC runs on the efforts of a number of people, but these two are the primary drivers:

RJ Otto (as a teacher, known as Ray; at home, as Jeff) | Owner + Game Designer | MS Mathematics @ WSU.
Practices game design, webpage development, and company-building.  Enjoys games of many types - but finds even more enjoyment in the challenge of designing and developing games.

Joshua Bellas | Art Director + Game Designer | BFA Digital Arts @ BGSU.
Specializes in asset creation, illustration, and layout design.  Fond of roll-and-writes, deck builders, and exploration adventure games.

One thing I’m trying to get better at is multitasking.  In preparing Countdown To Blastoff for publication, I’ve not had the luxury of being able to focus on just one thing.  Right now, I’m trying to find a company to produce the game for us. Also, I’m working on creating a promotional video for our upcoming Kickstarter campaign.  And tracking expenses, so we can use our resources wisely.  {read more}

‘Backer’ is a term that is commonly used to describe someone who supports a crowdfunding campaign.  Although my father won't be a backer of the Countdown To Blastoff campaign (he passed away about five years ago), he was my first backer in my efforts as a game designer.  {read more}
